Couples Retreats
Are you tired of your spouse? Have you lost track of what attracted you to each other to begin with? Lost that lovin' feeling? A couple's retreat could be the answer.
Couples retreats are not just for marriages in trouble. Certainly they help heal relationships after an affair or other crisis, but they may not be the whole story.
People grow apart sometimes and a retreat can help you to remember why you are together and rediscover the person you married. Life is tough and the pressures of work, money and children all take a toll on your relationship.
A marriage retreat gives you time to concentrate on each other, improve your communication, and resolve your conflicts without resorting to a screaming match.
Counselors will talk to you separately and together. Communication is key. Men are not mind readers and I think sometimes we women expect them to be and get mad when they don't automatically know what we want from them.
There are other types of couples' retreats to improve your sexual relationship. Yes, I said sex. We all do it and while we may not want to air our conflicts in that area to everyone, there are therapies to help you regain intimacy and improve your sex life.
So ladies, talk to your man. Drag him away from that ballgame and take a weekend just for the two of you. Your marriage will blossom.
