Luxury Retreats

Who's up for a little pampering? You may not be rich, but you can feel rich taking a luxury retreat. Of course it is temporary, but don't we all secretly want to know how the other half lives.

Luxury retreats come in a lot of forms, fancy hotels, cruises, exotic locales, and even high end tree houses. One thing that can be affordable if you do it as a group, is renting a villa. Villas for rent are available in a variety of locations.

Caribbean islands are popular destinations as are villas in France and Italy. Families often rent one together keeping the individual costs down. The same goes for groups of friends. A word to the wise, choose carefully among your friends. Not everyone has the same expectations of a vacation and sometimes friends become enemies. Family members, oh well, you have to live with them.

Most villas have a cook and maid. If you are like Rachel Ray and love to cook, you can forego the cook. She reports cooking every night at the villa she and her family rented.

There are luxury hotels with spa accommodations that will see to your every need if total pampering is on your agenda. Cruises are also a bit more organized and will plan your outings.

The important thing is to get away and immerse yourself in the culture of your destination. Let someone else cook and clean and concentrate on enjoying it to the utmost.

There are travel sites dedicated to luxury getaways. If you're not sure what to do or how to begin, consult one. They will plan everything including your travel arrangements to and from your destination. They will know the best restaurants and things to see while you're there.

Remember, this a luxury retreat. Let someone else do the grunt work. For once, it IS all about you.
